Trades of Hope- Gifts with a Purpose!

{Wednesday, December 11: Congratulations to Melodee for winning the Trades of Hope scarf! A big thank you to all who took the time to look at this wonderful company and leave comments both here and on Facebook.}

I am so excited to share with you about a company called Trades of Hope. It was started in 2010 by a few Christian women who had a vision to help make a difference in the lives of women around the world. These women are being taught how to make beautiful items that are income producing.

I had the opportunity to attend a Trades of Hope home party just a few weeks ago and I was so touched by the beautiful, quality products this company offers, all made by women from all over the globe- countries like Uganda, Bangladesh, Cambodia, India, Nepal, Haiti, the Philippines and others. They offer hand crafted jewelry, bags, scarves and other handmade items like bowls, journals and ornaments.

Through sales, women are being helped out of the sex trade, slums, sweat shops and extreme poverty. They are able to send their children to school, put a roof over their heads and  put food on their tables. Trades of Hope doesn't sell just to line the pockets of a large corporation- the sale of these products is changing lives.

Please take a moment to check out the website of my friend Mia, a Compassion Entrepreneur. These products make wonderful gifts and they are affordable- all of their items are priced below $50 and have a flat shipping fee of $4.95. All jewelry comes in a nice mesh bag and all of the items come with a card that tells about the artisan that created that product. What a wonderful way to remember to pray for these women and their situations.

If you leave a comment  on my blog about one of the products that TOH sells and why you like it, your name will be entered into a drawing for a free scarf! The drawing will be on Wednesday, December 11, 2013. If you purchase an item from TOH, your name will be entered into the drawing 2 times. If you are willing to host an online or facebook party with Mia, your name will also be entered into the drawing 2 times.

This is a company with a mission. These are products with a purpose. Please take a minute to make a difference by helping another sister in the world who is in a desperate situation. Together we can bring hope, one gift at a time!

You can check out these beautiful products made by beautiful women HERE.

Thanks so much for considering! Please feel free to share this post with your friends and family.

  1. What a neat company! That teal cascade necklace is beautiful and I love how versatile it is. I liked some of the earrings too, like the tri-leaf ones. And the trifold nativity set is cool too. Lots of great stuff. :)
