Teaching a Biblical Worldview

Our family recently watched Demolishing Strongholds, a DVD series put out by Answers in Genesis. I highly recommend this wonderful course. Although geared towards teenagers, even our younger kids enjoyed watching and got a lot out of it. Not a week goes by that one of our children doesn't point out some form of evolution they spotted in either a book or movie, and they continue to quote things that they learned.

The DVDs include 13 30-minute sessions with topics that help develop a biblical worldview, confronting our "evolutionized" culture, finding answers to difficult issues, how to reach people for Christ by using everyday topics, and recognizing "cultural brainwashing." This is done using highly engaging, comic style animation. Movie blurbs are also played to point out how we are being brainwashed to believe that evolution is real.

Our kids came away knowing that they can trust the Bible, not the lies that our culture is promoting all around them. When we start with God's Word, everything else falls into place.

Laina even decided to go to Worldview Academy Camp this summer, where one of the speakers is Bill Jack (also featured in this series).

"For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes..." Romans 1:16
